Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Curioak LLC (“Curioak,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles information in connection with the iOS and iPadOS app Gifted Star, and this website (the “Site”).

1. Local data

Gifted Star is a parent-facing education tool. A parent or guardian sets it up, manages purchases and settings, and supervises a child's practice.

Profile data and practice records are stored locally. Curioak does not receive this data.

The App has no account, sign-in, chat, social sharing or content upload.

2. Analytics and attribution

Google Analytics for Firebase and Meta App Events process limited device information, approximate location, app interactions and purchase history. We use this information to understand app use and measure downloads and purchases.

We do not send profiles, answers, scores, practice records, contacts or payment details to these providers. The App has no ads and does not track you across apps or websites.

Providers that process information for us must protect it consistently with this policy.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

Apple processes purchases and subscriptions through the App Store. Curioak does not receive or store your payment card number or billing details. The App receives purchase status so it can unlock premium access.

Purchases are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and applicable Apple terms. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.

4. Site visits and communications

Hosting and service providers process basic technical information needed to deliver and secure the Site. Third-party analytics and advertising measurement services also process limited technical and usage data to understand traffic and measure marketing.

If you email us or submit a support or notification form, we receive the information you choose to provide and use it to respond or provide the requested update.

5. Your choices and data retention

• Delete a profile: remove it in Settings to delete it and its practice records from the device.
• Reset progress: use Reset Progress in Settings to clear the active profile's recorded sessions while keeping profiles and settings.
• Delete App data: delete the App to remove its locally stored data.
• Request deletion: email us to request deletion of information you sent directly to Curioak.

Local records remain until you delete them. We keep other information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the App, Site or legal requirements change. We will revise the date above when we do.
